Moving to Utah

We were debating on moving to Utah after we sold our Unishippers franchise. We basically left it up to Aimee since it was going to be her Senior year. She wanted to be closer to Brandon and Kristen even though she would miss her TN friends terribly. Cory took a job in April and came back to pick us up on Memorial weekend.

Had tons of help from great friends! Thanks to all of them!!

Lauren Denton, Michelle Lodwick and Lindsay Branham came to help and didn't want Aimee to leave.

My best friend from Mississippi, Carie, just moved to Knoxville from Utah and came to visit with her daughter. Her husband and other 4 kids were flying in on Sunday. We had come home from the fireworks show that got cancelled because of rain.

I told Aimee she was going to wear this into school...but she didn't. HA! She did take it to school and some of her friends made her put it on.

Her road test was scheduled for next Tuesday, but got a call and asked if she could come in today. She was thrilled and almost didn't pass because she didn't pull over when a police car with lights was coming down the road. The test lady said she would let her slide. HA!

Driving by herself for the first time to go to the Y to work out. Man am I scared....she is still not back.

Just got finished with Aimee's pioneer dress that she is wearing for the trek the second week of June. Cami Branham's Mom was so nice to help me over at Cami's like 8 hours on Monday. I still need to do the apron and bonnet.

My garden is growing!!! See all my butterbeans, tomatoes...so excited. I hope the bugs and deer don't ruin it.

Had a fun birthday. After working in the garden, I finally got ready about 4pm. Aimee made me my favorite banana cake with cream cheese frosting and we had extreme moosetracks icecream. YUMMY! We then went to movie and saw Knowing with Nicholas Cage. It was OK, not great. It was a fun day!

I went over to Gayle Dubravacs this morning and we made wheat bread from scratch. She has a wheat grinder and all the fun stuff to make bread so much easier. She is so Betty Crocker and I love her for sharing this morning. I just took it out of the oven...UMM GOOD!!

St. George temple at night. Me and Kristen went for a walk to the temple the first night I was there. It reminds me of the Nauvoo temple. So pretty.

Went to eat at Texas Roadhouse with a coupld of Kristen's room mates and Moms and Dads.

Went to the movie with Brandon and Kristen. Do not go see it. It was crude and the language was bad. It was called Fired up.

I can't even wait till tomorrow!! My sweet friend that works at Southwest got me a buddy pass to fly to see my college kids in Utah for Mothers Weekend otherwise I would not be going. I can't wait to see them!!! I sure hope I make it because I am flying standby....cross your fingers for me:) I will be leaving Thursday and coming home on Monday. We will just be staying in the St. George, Utah area.

Me and Aimee had a Mother/Daughter date on Friday night. We went to Panera Bread and went to see "Taken". It was fun! We are going to start doing it once a month.

I saw these on the side of the road the other morning on my way home from the Y. Daffodils are my favorite flower and remind me of my Mom. We lived on 5 acres growing up and they would grow wild in the woods. I would always pics lots of bunches for Mama. I can't wait until this cold weather is done!! It was 18 this morning at 4:45am when I left for the Y.

I let Aimee (and Lindsay who spent the night) sluff school the next day since we got to bed about 3am. Lots of others showed up for the movie that weren't at the party. It was really nice of Gina to have a great party. She is the bomb!

Today (2-19) we had cooking group at my house. We had a great time. Cristina Stover and Amy Smith taught us how to make some Tai food. It was way yummy! There were only 6 of us this time but there have been lots of people in the ward that have been sick.

Cory and I celebrated our 26 year wedding anniversary last night (2-17) at the church with the youth at their etiquette dinner/dance. They had a special song just for us to dance to. It was really fun! Can't believe we are so OLD!

Last night we had a girls night at Gayle Dubravac's. The men and sons were at the Priesthood Campout so Gayle invited some women over. We had me, Misty, Gayle, Cristina and Jamie. We all brought food and watched Sabrina (a 90's movie). It was lots of fun. I got home around 11:45pm.
